Biography

Juan Ignacio Carranza is a specialist in public policy and political risk with over 10 years of international experience. A graduate of Harvard Kennedy School and University College London, he has led high-impact projects in Latin America and energy policy.

Juan has provided comprehensive political risk analysis and strategic advisory services across Latin America, covering political, economic, and energy issues. He has delivered expert testimony and strategic counsel in international disputes, arbitrations, and regulatory challenges, particularly in sovereign debt.

As Chief of Staff for Argentina’s OECD accession project at the Ministry of Treasury, Juan led the process enabling Argentina to begin its membership process. He has also collaborated with the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and the European Union on projects combating climate change and promoting energy transition.

Juan holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where he taught Principles of Constitutional Law and Human Rights. He also holds a Master’s in International Public Policy from University College London (UCL) as a Chevening Scholar and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School as a Mason Fellow.
